Just Listed:
Canyons Ring in Ochre

Size 6

available here
I probably won't have anything new for tomorrow. I need to get caught up on other business-related necessities as well as decide which stone color set is next. I'm leaning toward a quadruplet of teals and browns though I have a new piece of ocean jasper that is calling rather loudly...

As promised, another two pieces to complete my whole pink/yellow theme I had going with these four stones:

Added in mere minutes will be the golden laguna agate and the square fossil coral:
Winter Wheat Necklace in Gold

Isn't this stone wonderful! It has these great ribbons of golden yellow flecked with tiny dots of cream and a tiny spot of druzy at its very top.
Sea Daisies Ring in Gamboge

size 8

Perfectly crisp motif of little flower rounds ranging from cream to deep flax.
Both of these pieces will be available here until someone snatches them up!
Tomorrow I will have a sweet, medium sized, owyhee jasper ring. See you then!

Two new in the shop tonight:
Nootka Rose Necklace in Cerise

This is really an extraordinary piece of stone with a range of pink shades intermixed with bright yellow. I'm quite fond of it.
Layers Ring in Orchid

size 7

A bright little round of laguna agate with layer upon layer of pale violet surrounding a egg yolk yellow center. The ring is large enough to get plenty of attention but small enough to be practical for any day wear.
The other two (a laguna agate necklace and a fossil coral ring) will be up tomorrow. You'd think after this long I would be able to estimate just how long it will take me to complete a piece. Alas, I'm always slower than I wish to be.
Thanks to everyone who shared (and will share!) their resolutions. I awoke this morning and was instantly cheered by all of the things to look forward to in the coming year-even if I may end up doing so more slowly than I would hope.

New Work for the New Year
After a much-needed hiatus I am back in Portland and back to work! We spend the majority of the last 10 days between Seattle and Spokane but I did manage a little work between and will be listing one piece tonight and four tomorrow.
Today's is a subtle, crisp, oval of fossil coral in a range of greys fashioned into a size 6.25, wide-band ring.

Tomorrow will hold three laguna agate and a bright yellow square of fossil coral.
How are you faring in the new year? I am feeling that things will only improve and there are so many things I am looking forward to this year. I hope that you are feeling similarly. I have a whole set of resolutions/goals. Here is just a tiny taste:
1) break into wholesale
2) cure Wes of his extreme car phobia
3) having a fabulous year in the garden and
4) starting (at least) construction on a quilt
The more I think about it the more numerous they become!
Anyone have any they'd like to share? I'd love to hear.

Wondering where I've been? Worry not, I have neither perished nor given up metalsmithing, it is just that time of year. I finished up a spate of Tre Anelli orders and am back to working with big, beautiful stones. Like this one:

A gorgeous, very large piece of fossil coral set in a simple, double-sterling backing.

The shop is looking a bit more empty than I would like and I will be working to remedy the situation. I should have a rather large update in the next few days. Six pieces in shades of purple, gold and yellow!
I've decided to wait on the giveaway until after the new year. Things are still a little hectic and it will be nice to have something to look forward to after the holidays-aside from the return to normalcy.
